Doesn’t that sort of go against the whole point of him using a clown as his image? He was supposed to attract kids to kidnap them, how are they going to do make that remotely believable when he looks like that?

Pennywise can alter his form to whatever the individual fears most. And in the original movie, he went from a normal-looking clown to a demonic clown with fangs. Not gonna post a picture because I get that some people are still freaked out by it.
That’s probably not his ordinary form.
